well on the training front it has been any way. only the one session, which i did by my self on wednesday. i deliberately chose a wednesday to do it just to get me out of the tuseday-thursday routine, don't think there was any physical benefit in doing that, but i just fancied doing it. apart from that it has been a diet of steady runss varying from 5 to 8 miles in length. part of the reason why i did the session on the wednesday as opposed to the thursday wasto qalllow mee more recovery time for the racce at gloucester tomorrow. 4 miles is an unusual distance although i have raaced over that distance before at clevedon 3 times in the traditional boxinfg day race, where katee reed last year brok paula radcliffe's british record for the distance, in spite of the rather steep hill in the midle section of the course. facts like that make you wonder as to the accuracy of the course, whether or not it is a hundred yards or so short. there was the option of doing the cardiff military st davids day 5k on sunday in the welsh capital but i was put off by the numbers of people running around what is a park course on narrow paths. i didn't fancy tthe idea of having to fight my way past people to get a fast time by running on the grass. i am looking for a race next weekend as well as i also have next saurday off.
looking at options for the upcoming track season, it looks as though 1500's are going to be the main thing again withh 800's and 400's coming later on in the season as i get faster plus a few 3000's and maybe a 5000 if my legs feel strong enough, but hopefully if they do i will bee in a proper race rather then being left on my own as i was in the last 2 times i have done 5000's
