i am now officially in marathon training, ready for the big day in a couple of months time. started off with a 6 miler tonight and will be booking some long weekends at work with the intention of using those to do some big 24-26 mile runs to make sure that i'm strong enough to complete the distance. i need to get the saturdays off because i don't want it to interfere to much with my new found church activities which i've been going to for the past month or so. There you go i've said it and its out in the open now. i'm a proper convert to christianity rather than some one who says they believe in god but thats as far as it goes, like i was before. not very many of you know this but i used to go to church when i was younger and i was quite surprised that a lot of my friends from twenty odd years ago were still going albeit in a different location
back to what i was talking about before, theres some thing else that i want to put on record here as well before it escapes my mind, namely, that for a bit of an adventure i want to do the mount snowdonia marathon, which is undeniably the toughest in britain, and one of the hardest road races possibly in eu rope or even the entire world. if i run a fastish time there (its never going to be a pb course) then that will put to bed forever any argument that there is between me and scott over who is the best distance runner out of the two of us.
i will, when i get a new car for the purpose of variety in my training be doing some runs in the mendips over some really hilly courses like shipham hill, rowberry hill and cheddar gorge, but again that is dependant on me getting a new motor in time!

love Scott
richard dawkins is the biggest danger to morality in the western world at the moment. he's a typical jumped up professor who has no idea about real people or the real world. on top of this he doesn't actually contradict any thing the bible says (even though he claims to) and merely explains a potential method for how the planet was created. he does not explain how life started nor does he attempt to because he knows he can't do that without leading to the inevitable conclusion that there is a god. Any questions he can't answer like these, he just doesn't even mention, because he knows that his inability to answer them will severely damage his credibility and the credibility of his argument.

Are you saying that dinosaurs didn't exist?
no i'm not saying that at all. richard dawkins though creates his own facts to back up the arguments that he wants to make. even members of the scientific community have said that about him. being a christian does not mean i blindly believe every thing thats written in the bible, like you obviously, unquestioningly believe every thing dawkins says, especially the old testament stuff. the bible doesn't actually say how the world was created, only that it was, whereas science offers an explanation of the methods that god used. think of it like this. every thing that you see in the world was created by some one or some thing ie an external force. therefore, how is it possible that the whole world could just create it self? dawkins arguments are some times contradictory, like when he says science will one day explain every thing, yet scientists cant even agree among themselves on some key issues and dawkins uses "facts" to try and prove stuff that will never be provable on this planet. someone needs to stick a pin prick in that mans over inflated ego
